Privacy Policy

This policy covers the website getporti.com and getporti publish, a small command-line tool that uploads the "Masamdaki Robot" videos to the getporti YouTube channel. Türkçe: /tr/privacy.

Who runs this

getporti.com and getporti publish are run by Furkan Portakal, an individual, not a company. Contact: furkanportakalx@gmail.com.

What getporti publish is

getporti publish runs on my own computer. Its only job is to publish videos I made to social media accounts I own. It is not a public service: there is no sign-up, no hosted version and no other users. The only account that ever signs in to it is mine.

It connects to YouTube today. TikTok and Instagram may follow; the same rules below will apply to them, and this page will be updated before either is connected.

What it accesses through Google / YouTube

When I sign in with Google, getporti publish asks for these YouTube permissions:

• youtube.upload: to upload a video file to my channel.
• youtube.force-ssl: to set a video's title, description and tags, add it to a playlist on my channel, and post a comment under it.

It also reads my channel's ID and name, to check that it is uploading to the right account. It does not read viewers' data, subscriber lists, watch history, messages, email or any other Google data.

What is stored, and where

• OAuth tokens (access and refresh tokens) are saved in a .secrets/ folder on my own computer, readable only by my user account. They are never committed to git and never uploaded anywhere.
• A local log of what was published (video ID, URL, date) is kept in the project folder on the same computer.

That is all. getporti publish has no server and no database, and it sends data to nothing other than the platform's own API (for example googleapis.com).

Sharing

Data obtained through Google, YouTube, TikTok or Instagram APIs is not sold, shared with third parties, used for advertising, or used to train AI models. It is used only to publish my own videos to my own accounts.

Google API Services User Data Policy

getporti publish's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

getporti publish uses YouTube API Services. By using it you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google's handling of data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.

Keeping and deleting data

Tokens are kept until access is revoked. To revoke it:

• Google / YouTube: remove "getporti publish" at myaccount.google.com/permissions. The stored tokens stop working immediately.
• Deleting the .secrets/ folder removes the tokens from the computer as well.

If you believe getporti publish holds data about you and want it deleted, email furkanportakalx@gmail.com and it will be removed within 30 days.

The website

getporti.com is a personal website. It has no accounts, no forms and no advertising cookies. It is served by Cloudflare, which processes standard request data (such as IP address and browser) to deliver and protect the site; it may also use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits without cookies. Children

Neither the site nor the tool is directed at children under 13, and neither knowingly collects data from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date.
